We met Becky and Andre for their engagement shoot in the rolling hills of West Yorkshire. We had some pretty heavy cloud cover to start with that developed into some epic mist.

Becky and Andre wanted natural couples shots complimented by some that were a little more posed so the style of their shoot was a mixture of documentary and modern classic.

We started out with a walk near their future wedding venue in Ripponden which is blessed with some stunning scenery. When the weather started turning, we moved on to a secondary location in the hope that we’d be able to squeeze in a few more shots before we lost the light either due to the time of year (January) or the weather!

For the second location, we went to Marsden Moor which you can catch just a glimpse of when there was a momentary break in the weather.

This offered a really interesting opportunity for shots as, the weather although not ideal, offered something unusual and visually arresting. It wasn’t what we had originally imagined but we have to say the shots in the mist are some of our favourites from the shoot.

We had a a wonderful time meeting Becky and Andre. They were a pleasure to work with and made our job such a breeze - they are possibly the smiliest people we’ve ever met and we think their joy can’t help but come through in their photos.

We can’t wait to shoot their wedding!
